Make Endicott Count! Fill out the Census before September 30, 2020

The Census Bureau gathers population and demographic information that helps to determine how much federal and state funding for roads, schools, healthcare, and services to families, children, and older adults. The data is also used by decision-makers, such as business owners, to inform them of the latest population trends and growth projections. The Census is designed to count every person using a simple questionnaire. In March, households received official Census Bureau mail with information on how to fill out the questionnaire by mail, online at www.my2020census.gov, or by phone at 1-844-330-2020.

According to Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo's office, the self-response rate in Broome County is at 63.7%. In the Village of Endicott the self-response rate is 57.4%. With two weeks left before the count ends, Lupardo stressed that an accurate count is critical to getting our fair share from Washington at a time when the state and all of our local municipal governments will be dealing with several fiscal challenges as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. There is still time to respond before the Census ends on September 30, 2020.
