Leaf Collection
Starting September 1st, village residents may start putting leaves at the curb. They will be picked up using the leaf vacuum or a loader and dump truck, if they get too wet. The collection starts at Round Top along the south side of Main St. eastward to Jackson Ave., then from Jackson Ave. westward to Burns Ave. between Main St. and the railroad tracks and finally on the north side from the west to the east. This route is followed for the remainder of the fall until the snow and ice prevents it and no later than December 1st. In the spring, any leftover leaves should be put out with yard waste according to the Yard Waste section of the Garbage Information page.

Street Sweeping
Street sweeping starts in the spring after all snow and ice are gone. If Village residents would continue to park off the street during this time, it would make the sweeping more efficient.
Street sweeping also continues throughout the warm weather, as needed.
Washington Avenue and the alleys paralleling it are swept weekly until prohibited by cold weather.
