BMTS Traffic Study Taking Place

The Village of Endicott received notice that the Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study (BMTS) is conducting traffic counts throughout the BTMS Planning Area.

Residents may notice activity at intersections or on roadway segments that includes the use of video technology and tubes laid across roadways.

The equipment will generally be installed for up to 5 days. The majority of the traffic counts will take place this month.

According to the BMTS, the project will provide traffic data to perform traffic engineering and intersection safety studies.
